Dr. Mao Shing Ni is the current spiritual leader of the Ni family tradition. He received extensive training and practice in Taoist healing arts and Chinese medicine from his father, Hua-Ching Ni, and other achieved teachers. A well-respected doctor, he is a best-selling author and an authority in anti-aging medicine. He has been featured on radio and television and in many publications in fields such as nutrition, natural health, chi movement and spirituality. He lectures and teaches workshops throughout the country. Dr. Mao is dedicated to bringing light and harmony back into people’s lives and is expanding the College of Tao where spiritual coaches of the Taoist healing arts and the Ni family tradition are taught and trained.

This course presents a Path for Healers which honors traditions from Huang Di, the Yellow Emperor in China (approximately 2600 B.C.E.) to the present day. The Ni family history of healing as a tradition is discussed as well as basic principles of Oriental medicine, including acupuncture and the role of the physician-teacher. Dr. Mao Shing Ni first discusses the Book of Changes, or the I Ching, and the original ancient healers and their classic medical texts such as the Materia Medica, the Neijing Suwen,and works by Hua Tuo, Ge Hong, and Sun Si Miao. He introduces the beginnings Dao-In, an energy movement exercise which is a form of Chinese yoga. Dr. Mao also introduces Seven Key Concepts of Wellness Medicine and Five Self-Healing Techniques and shows how clinical results are dramatically improved using these principles.
