Mao Shing Ni, O.M.D., Ph.D. L.Ac.
Master of Tradition

Dr. Mao Shing Ni was ordained as the Head of the Integral Way Tradition in 2000. He oversees the College of Tao and is active in teaching the Path of Constructive Life—the attainment of physical, mental, spiritual, moral and financial health in one’s life. With his father Hua-Ching Ni, he studied meditation and the movement arts of tai chi and qi gong and later became a Master Teacher. Dr. Mao, author of twelve books including the bestselling book, Secrets of Longevity, practices acupuncture and Chinese medicine with his associates at the Tao of Wellness in Santa Monica, California, which he co-founded. He is also co-founder and co-chancellor of Yo San University in Los Angeles.



Joseph Miller, Ph.D.
Director

Dr. Joseph Miller is an Associate Professor of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), Geffen School of Medicine, Division of Integrative Anatomy. He is also Director of the CHI Health Institute, a Master Instructor of Harmony Tai Chi, and a Senior Instructor of Dao-In. He teaches Harmony Tai Chi at the UCLA School of Medicine and has conducted workshops, classes, and retreats across the country.




Laraine Crampton, L.Ac.
Associate Director

Laraine Crampton, L.Ac., practices acupuncture and Chinese medicine in Santa Monica, California. She is on the clinical faculty at Yo San University of Traditional Chinese Medicine and teaches qigong in the Qi Cultivation Program at the university. A CHI Health Institute-Certified Instructor and Taoist Mentor, she is also a Life Coach in the Path of Constructive Living system. Her responsibilities as Associate Director for CHI Health Institute currently are focused on special projects.
