Dr. Mao Shing Ni, Ph.D., O.M.D., L.Ac.
President

Dr. Mao Shing Ni was ordained as the Head of the Integral Way Tradition in 2000. He oversees the College of Tao and is active in teaching the Path of Constructive Life—the attainment of physical, mental, spiritual, moral and financial health in one’s life. With his father Hua-Ching Ni, he studied meditation and the movement arts of tai chi and qi gong and later became a Master Teacher. Dr. Mao, author of twelve books including the bestselling book, Secrets of Longevity, practices acupuncture and Chinese medicine with his associates at the Tao of Wellness in Santa Monica, California, which he co-founded. He is also co-founder and co-chancellor of Yo San University in Los Angeles. 



Dr. Joseph Miller, Ph.D.
Director
 

Dr. Joseph Miller is an associate professor in the UCLA Geffen School of Medicine (University of California, Los Angeles). He is also Director of the CHI Health Institute, a Master Instructor of Harmony Tai Chi, and a Senior Instructor of Dao-In. He teaches Harmony Tai Chi at the UCLA School of Medicine and has conducted workshops, classes, and retreats across the country.

 

 


Judith Liggett

COT Administrator

Judy graduated with Honors in Mythology and Consciousness from the University of California, Santa Cruz. She developed an interest in the Ni Family teachings in the 1990s when she studied Harmony tai chi, Dao-In, and Crane Style qi gong with Daoshing and Mao Shing Ni. She worked as an administrator at the University of California, Los Angeles, and then learned to design and publish books. In 2006 she worked in the Yo San University bookstore, designed books, and was editor-in-chief for the Tao of Wellness Newsletter. In 2010 she became the Administrator for the College of Tao, also developing the College of Tao website and College of Tao on Facebook.
